Who Wendy Montgomery

From International SOS

To ESPN STAR Sports

Wendy Montgomery has recently been appointed as ESPN STAR Sports’ new vice president and head of human resources. Based in Singapore, Montgomery will oversee the strategic management and development of HR and will report to the managing director, Manu Sawhney. Prior to this appointment, Montgomery has worked in companies such as International SOS, Siebel Software and has worked in a wide range of countries in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific regions.

During her career, Montgomery has successfully managed several change management initiatives and “has successfully utilised HR to the proactive benefit of the business”.

Managing director Sawhney says that with Montgomery’s extensive experience, he is confident that “she will be able to further strengthen the employee focus of our organisation as we continue to remain committed to making human capital and staff welfare a top priority.”

Who Charlotte Lourdes

From UBS

To Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA)

Charlotte Lourdes is the new manager for talent attraction and branding in HR at IDA, where she is responsible for implementing the most efficient and successful talent acquisition strategies specific to IDA’s needs. She will also be promoting career opportunities and the dynamic culture offered at the company. Loudes believes that whatever she does in IDA contributes to the progress of Singapore, and being able to do what she enjoys and hone her skills in her area of passion was what attracted her to the job. Previously, she was the HR research and analytics manager at UBS, and the experience and skills gained there are “positively applicable” in IDA. She is currently working on IDA’s scholarship portfolio and the partnering with various divisions internally to promote IDA as an employer of choice. Lourdes will also be a part of the firm’s induction programmes and will help build up and engage the alumni.

Who Smriti Krishna

From Genpact

To NBC Universal Asia Pacific

Smriti Krishna is the new vice president of human resources for NBC Universal Asia Pacific. Formerly based in New York where she headed HR activities for US & global sales at Genpact for nine years, Krishna has held HR leadership roles across the globe from India to Tokyo and also worked in various industries such as outsourcing, healthcare, financial services, and industrial systems. She says she was attracted to NBC Universal as she is an “avid consumer of business news, TV and general entertainment” and a fan of NBC & CNBC. Her biggest HR challenge right now is the issue of talent management, succession planning and employee engagement.

Who Susan Chia

From Starwood Asia Pacific Hotels & Resorts

To Starwood Customer Contact Centre

As the new manager of HR in Starwood Contact Centre, Susan Chia is responsible for a broad range of HR functions – from offering guidance and ensuring compliance in the workplace to provisioning and implementing personnel services and HR programmes, policies, and procedures for the company customer contact centres in Asia Pacific. Prior to her promotion at Starwood, Chia’s last role was assistant manager of talent acquisitions and management. She says that her passion lies in the hospitality industry which is why she was attracted to working at Starwood. Chia is currently revamping polices and procedure for Starwood’s customer contact centre.
