BIZARRE HR

US - A  home improvement store clerk has been arrested for giving her love interest deep discounts on store merchandise in a bid to win his heart.

According to the Associated Press, the amount Katie Lynn Smith had discounted the "male she desired as a boyfriend" over a four-month period added up to a hefty US$20,000 (S$27,688).

A security video at Lowe's in West Virginia even caught Smith selling the man a pressure washer worth several hundred dollars for US$3.66 (S$5.00).

She was arrested on a fraudulent schemes charge but police were unable to say if the scheme helped her romantic prospects.
