What are your areas of training and why did you choose this specialty?

I train and coach in the following areas: happiness, passion for work and life, laughter, positive thinking, self-esteem, confidence, motivation, success, leadership, communication and self-empowerment.

I chose these areas as they help an individual to be successful and happy in life and work. These areas are the foundation steps towards success and towards creating the life of your dreams. People tend to train for the technical skills and they neglect these skills. It is these skills that help an individual to be different, to be outstanding, and to be noticed. Thinking positive thoughts and having a positive attitude will help you to look at the future favourably. Being able to communicate your ideas clearly puts you at an advantage in a meeting and in any social situation.

What makes your training unique?

My training is unique because it is activity-centred, collaborative, flexible, fun, joyful, energetic, engaging, results-based and inspirational. It is also designed to ensure that learning takes place. My training sessions are well-planned and I adopt adult learning strategies to motivate adult learners.

How much does a session cost?

The costs vary depending on the topic, the duration of the workshop and the number of participants and ranges from S$1,500 to S$3,500.

How will your training benefit your participants?

My training will help participants to change their lives. They will find new creative energy for their work. Participants will be stimulated, learn much more, and find joy in learning. The learning environment that I provide in my sessions is positive both emotionally and socially. Participants view each other as creators in the learning process and there is much collaboration and group performance. People learn best in an environment of collaboration. It has been said that all good learning tends to be social. During my sessions, participants will be totally involved and their retention of the information will be improved.

Participants will find learning enjoyable and fulfilling. My training will contribute to their full human happiness, intelligence, competence and success.

How long have you been a trainer? What was your profession before you started as a trainer? What made you decide to be a trainer?

I have been training academic staff for many years. From1975 to1977, I lectured on the Diploma in Education programme and the Bachelor with Science and Education programme at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur. In 1978 I joined Ngee Ann Polytechnic. I started to train the academic staff of Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Teaching Methodology in 1980. I have, over the years, trained academics, teachers, students, corporate groups, armed forces personnel and parents in a variety of topics. In 2009 I left Ngee Ann Polytechnic and I registered a company to provide training services.

I have a wide experience in training and a sound knowledge of educational principles, including adult education.

What school did you graduate from/what did you major in?

My first degree was from the University of Singapore and so was my Diploma in Education. I obtained the Masters-in Education at the University of Malaya. I also have the Diploma in the Practice of Higher Education from the University of Surrey.
