BIZARRE HR

UK - A British government has refrained from running an ad which stated that it was looking for "reliable" people.

In a report by UPI, Nicole Mamo, director of Devonwood Recruitment in Hertfordshire was taken aback when a government-backed job centre rejected her ad which stated that it was looking for "reliable" workers.

After calling to see why her advertisement was rejected, the job centre said that it was because they could have cases against them for discrimination against unreliable people.

"I laughed because I thought that was crazy. We supply the NHS with staff so it's very important for the patients that we have reliable workers," Mamo said.

"We find jobs for hundreds of temporary staff every week and are proud of our workers but our reputation is at stake if they aren't reliable," she said. "We are taking people off the dole and finding them jobs so not displaying the advert just seems absolutely ridiculous to me."
