Up the ranks: Kaneetha Rajan takes on role of Head of People, Malaysia and Vietnam at QBE Insurance

She will oversee all aspects of human resources management, such as recruitment, performance management, training & development, compensation & benefits, and HR policy implementation.

Kaneetha Rajan has taken on the role of Head of People, Malaysia and Vietnam at QBE Insurance, effective April 2024, moving up from her role as Acting Head.

In her new role, she will oversee all aspects of human resources management, such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development, compensation & benefits, and HR policy implementation, she tells HRO.

Over the next one to two years, her immediate focus will be on enhancing talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent, fostering a culture of diversity & inclusion, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and regulations, and driving employee engagement initiatives to enhance organisational culture and employee satisfaction.

Kaneetha reports directly to the Head of People, Asia while also providing regular updates to the CEO of QBE Malaysia and General Director of QBE Vietnam on HR matters and initiatives within the organisation.

When asked for her view on the role, she comments:" I am most excited about the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of QBE in Malaysia & Vietnam by leveraging my HR expertise to build high-performing teams, nurture talent, and create a positive work environment where employees can thrive and contribute their best to the organisation's success."
