Apple temporarily closes all stores in mainland China

閱讀中文版本

Apple announced in a statement that it will shut down all its stores, corporate offices and contact centres in mainland China until 9 February "out of an abundance of caution and based on the latest advice from leading health experts".

A total of 42 stores in mainland China are closed, while its online store will still be running.

“Our thoughts are with the people most immediately affected by the coronavirus and with those working around the clock to study and contain it,” Apple said in a statement.

Employees in the Wuhan area and across Apple's workforce in China are provided with care kits and supplies. All employees outside the country are restricted to travel to China unless it is business-critical travel.

The company will continue to monitor the situation and re-open stores "as soon as possible".
