Disney layoffs continue in the wake of Fox Entertainment Group acquisition

閱讀中文版本

The Walt Disney company axed nearly 60 employees in the media distribution division last week in the United States, according to Variety. Six months ago, Disney acquired Fox Entertainment Group, including 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight Pictures, and Blue Sky Studios.

20th Century Fox TV distribution's worldwide marketing executive vice president, Grey Drebin, and Home Entertainment's worldwide marketing and strategy senior vice president, Jennifer Chai, were among those let go.

Disney initiated the wave of layoffs in March. It was estimated that 4000 positions have been cut since then. Earlier in August, workers in Disney's studio and 20th Century Fox, including key executives in the production and visual effects departments, were fired.
