Guillaume Gallas appointed cluster general manager of two Accor hotels

Guillaume Gallas has been appointed as cluster general manager in a dual role overseeing the operations of Novotel Citygate Hong Kong and The Silveri Hong Kong – MGallery, which is set to open in early 2020.

In his new role, Gallas will oversee all aspects from operations to business performance across the two hotels, leading and motivating the team members to ensure guests leave with a memorable experience.

Born in France, he has more than 20 years of experience leading internationally acclaimed luxury and boutique hotels and restaurants, with half of those years being based in Greater China.

Gallas is particularly experienced in the Hong Kong market, where he has held key management roles at renowned hospitality establishments in Greater China, including The Mira Hong Kong, Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16, and Novotel Beijing Peace.

In 2018, he was honoured with the Chevalier de l'Ordre du Merite Agricole (Knight of the Order of Agricultural Merit) by the French Government for his outstanding contributions of bringing the best of French cultural practices to the world.

Commenting on his new role, Gallas said, “I am delighted to be returning to Hong Kong with such an exciting mission. Hong Kong has many quality hotels. With The Silveri we’re aiming to create a vivid and refreshing new lifestyle hotel that is absolutely one of a kind. I am looking forward to bringing this unique new property to life.”
