Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) is hosting a virtual career expo with a focus on innovation and the technology sector. It will run from 18-24 March 2021.

This year, the expo offers around 1,500 jobs with more than 240 participating tech companies who gather to scout for talent. Participating companies will use virtual exhibition booths to share career-related information, and hold on-demand live chats, webcasts, and presentations to converse with potential hires. Job applicants can submit their resumes online and conduct instant interviews in a seamless virtual environment.

Aside from research- and technology-related roles, companies are seeking candidates to bolster their teams with roles in marketing, business development and more. Hot sectors will include companies in AI & Robotics, biomedical technology, fintech, and data & smart city technologies.

Albert Wong the CEO of HKSTP, said: “This year’s theme, The Future is Yours, reflects the once-in-a-generation opportunity for young talent to kick-start a career in innovation and technology. During the expo, individuals will also learn more about the importance of future-fluent personalities in the modern workplace and how to get involved in the sector’s rapid growth."

This year’s expo has invited leaders from Hong Kong as speakers, including Professor Dennis Lo, director of Li Kang Shing Institute of Health, and often referred as the “father of non-invasive prenatal testing”, Professor Wise Young, chairman of mononuclear therapeutics, Jimmy Tao, CEO of Vitargent (International) Biotechnology, Annabel Huo, executive director and senior VP at Comba Telecom and Jonathan Cheung, co-founder of Inovo Robotics.
