HR Practitioner Appointments

Moody's Corporation appoints VP for talent acquisitionArpan Khurana joined Moody's Corporation as vice president talent acquisition in May.  His previous role was national attract talent manager at KPMG Canada.

He had held recruitment roles with leading international companies like Walmart, LVMH, KPMG , Honeywell and GSK across North America and Asia.

Bernard Kam joins Sheraton Hong Kong as director of human resources|Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers announced the appointment of Bernard Kam as director of Human Resources in May.

Kam has experience in the full range of human resources area including talent attraction & retention, performance management and development, organisation design, merger and integrations with 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Previous roles include senior HR management roles at; Renaissance Harbour View Hotel, Mandarin Oriental, The American Club and most recently group director of Human Resources at Marco Polo Hotels and Plaza Premium Group for five years before moving to the Sheraton.

Kam is responsible for leading the human resource strategies, programmes, training and performance for a total of 630 associates and managers in the hotel.

Knight Frank welcomes head of HRCassie Wong was appointed director, head of human resources, Greater China at Knight Frank in April.  Previously she was director, human capital consulting at Steve Lo People Resources.

She brings with her more than 18 years of experience in human resources and has held senior HR roles at Jones Lang LaSalle, HKT and The Nieslen Company.

New director of human resources at HOTEL VIC on the HarbourEric Leung was appointed director of human resources at HOTEL VIC on the Harbour in May.  Previously he was human resources manager at Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island managed by IHG.

Le Méridien Cyberport enhances HR team.Francis Lee joined Le Méridien Cyberport in May as human resources manager.   Her last appointment was human resources manager at The Ritz Carlton Hong Kong.

Promotion at Bank of ChinaChloe Wong was promoted from assistant manager to HR Manager, talent acquisition at Bank of China (Hong Kong) in April.  She started her career in human resources in 2013 with Hang Seng bank before joining Bank of China in 2015.

Daniel Wellington strengthens HR teamAfter more than four years with Red Bull, Amelia Quick joined Daniel Wellington in May as HR Manager - Asia Pacific.

In the new role, Quick will be leading HR activities and building the local HR functions and HR strategies for the company's APAC expansion.


HR Solutions Provider Appointments

New hires at Terminal 1Vivian Xiang joined Terminal 1 as principal consultant-technology in April.  Previously, she was  principal consultant at Xpand Group. She brings with her 10 years recruitment experience in IT & Technology sector for Greater China market.

Christine Koh joined Terminal 1 in February as a principal consultant.  She is a specialist recruiter for big data & business intelligence professionals in Hong Kong.   Prior to joining Terminal 1, she was a principal consultant at Argyll Scott.

Promotion at Michael PageKamil Butt was promoted to associate manager - Michael Page legal in May.  In the new role, he looks to focus on legal support and company secretarial recruitment for financial services institutions and law firms.  He joined Michael Page in 2015 as an associate consultant.

Promotion at Page PersonnelBrian Francis Lau was promoted to manager at Page Personnel Hong Kong in May.  He joined the company in 2013 as an associate consultant.

Promotion at CTgoodjobsKen Li was promoted to assistant manager, talent and branding solutions in April.  He had been with CTgoodjobs since 2016.  Prior to CTgoodjobs, he was a project executive at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
