HR job moves of the week from Avon, Randstad and many more

Here are the major promotions and job moves in the world of HR for this week.

HR Practitioner Appointments

Fresenius Kabi welcomes HR director Karina Ki was appointed in October senior director, human resources at Fresenius Kabi.  Previously she was with Lenovo, serving as director, human resources, global account business.  She brings with her more than 17 years of experience in human resources.  She is based in Hong Kong.

Vanessa Kwok returns to HSBC Kwok rejoined HSBC in September as senior talent acquisition and onboarding manager.  She has spent her past two years with the Standard Chartered Bank as senior talent acquisition manager, global banking and commercial banking.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank,  she was a human resources manager at HSBC from 2010 to 2013 .  She will continue to be based in Hong Kong.

New hire at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Matt Man joined the HR department at The Hong Kong Jockey Club in September.  His previous appointment was assistant human resources manager at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, a job he had held for eight years.  He is based in Hong Kong.

Moncler strengthens HR team After serving for more than four years at L'Oreal in a recruitment role, Katherine Lau joined Moncler in September as human resources officer, Asia Pacific.  She is based in Hong Kong.

Wearnes Group Malaysia welcomes new HR manager Sharon Gerard was appointed regional HR Manager at Wearnes Group in August.  She came over from TradingPost Group where she had served as group HR manager for more than two years.  She has  served in the human resources sector since 2009. She is based in Malaysia.

Avon strengthens HR team Karthini Lingam was appointed human resources executive at Avon in July.  Her previous appointment was human resources executive at ISCISTECH business solutions. She is based in Malaysia.

Michelle Ngoo joins Suncity Group After more than eight years with Resorts World Bhd as a senior HR executive, Ngoo was appointed assistant manager human resources at Suncity Group in August.  She relocated from Malaysia to Manila for the new role.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Promotions at PwC Kin Hang Tsang has been promoted to manager - total rewards at PwC Hong Kong and Mainland China in October. He has been with the company since 2012, starting out as an officer-total rewards. He was promoted from the deputy manager-total rewards role. He is based in Hong Kong.

Joyce Chan was promoted to manager, campus recruitment, PwC China & Hong Kong in October. She joined the company in 2014 as senior consultant, HR strategy and transformation. She is based in Hong Kong.

Marco Polo Hotels promotes senior L & D manager Wesley Ling was promoted from learning & development manager to senior learning & development manager in October. Prior to Marco Polo Hotels, he was serving in learning and development department at Ovolo Hotels. He is based in Hong Kong.

New hire at Sheffield Haworth Fergus Adams joined Sheffield Haworth as senior consultant in September. He came over from nbi Consulting where he served as consultant. He had been serving in recruitment consulting roles in London and Hong Kong since 2012. He is currently based in Hong Kong.

Promotion at Randstad Nereshpal Ganapathy was promoted to senior manager at Randstad in July.  He is part of the corporate services division (accounting & finance) team in our Kuala Lumpur office covering across a number of different sectors including but not limited to manufacturing , aviation , automotive, engineering , and oil/gas/energy.

He had been with Randstad since 2014, his previous job title was team leader, accounting & finance corporate services division. He is based in Malaysia.

Joshua Woo joins Antal International  Joshua Woo joined Antal International in September as a senior consultant in contracting division.

Woo begin his HR career in 2007 as a recruiter at Kelly Services and worked his way up the ranks. He played a key role in building client relationships, and has experience performing front-line, on-site management, and business development functions across a wide spectrum of industries. He is based in Singapore.
