HR Practitioner Appointments

The Kraft Heinz Company welcomes Ridwan IsmeerRidwan Ismeer recently joined The Kraft Heinz Company, based in Singapore, as data scientist for people analytics. Previously, he worked as people analyst at relationship analytics solution provider TrustSphere. Speaking to Human Resources, Ismeer said: “I have essentially moved from an analytics agency specialising in solving people problems to in-house practice. 2018 will see me building up a people analytics function for Kraft's APAC region.”

“At the moment, we are looking at an array of possible projects for the business - combating attrition by identifying employees at high flight risk, identifying high potential employees through data and predicting successful hires, to name a few.”

Andy Chan KC takes on a new role at UOBUnited Overseas Bank (Malaysia) has brought on Andy Chan KC as vice president for talent and organisation development, based in Kuala Lumpur. Chan is a learning and development professional with 16 years’ worth of experience in various industries ranging from start-ups to established organisations. He previously held the position of senior manager for learning and development at AIA.

"As financial institutions continue to grapple with disruptive technologies, one of my top priorities is to build a culture that fosters innovation across the organisation. This requires the support of forward-thinking and agile leaders, so I’m also looking at harnessing our leadership capabilities through more targeted development interventions while at the same time, preparing our workforce to be future-ready for the onslaught of Industrial Revolution 4.0," Chan commented.

B.Manjeet Kaur Sidhu joins Hengyuan Refining CompanyRecently starting a new role as section lead and head of ER/IR and compensation and benefits for Hengyuan Refining Company (formerly known as Shell Refining Company), B.Manjeet Kaur heads employee and industrial relation aspects in a unionised oil and gas refinery plant based in Port Dickson, Malaysia. Prior to this, she worked with Valyou as head of human resources and corporate administration and chief HR officer.

Tony Sim is Pezzo’s new group human resources managerPezzo Group recently welcomed Tony Sim as group human resources manager, based in Singapore. He previously worked with KFC and Pizza Hut for over six years, having served as manager for people capability and culture.

On his new role, Sim told Human Resources: "As a multi-brand business, I see a lot of synergies arising from managing them under one roof. I believe that technology will play an integral and important role in helping us achieve such synergies. Therefore, my priority over next year is to see through the implementation of cost-effective and efficient HR technology systems that work for us as we grow our multi-brand business both locally and internationally."

Gary Lee moves to new role at Sivantos GroupPreviously serving as chief HR specialist for global talent development and group organisational development at GRUNDFOS, Gary Lee has taken on the role of global head of leadership and organisational development at Sivantos Group in Singapore. With over 15 years of experience in talent development, leadership, learning and development and facilitation, he has worked with numerous MNCs, SMEs and educational institutes globally.

“For this year, I will be working on designing and implementing a global leadership framework, reviewing the learning and development structure and building sustainable culture initiatives across all Sivantos companies,” Lee told Human Resources.

UEM Group appoints Syamsul Zainudin to a new HR positionSyamsul Zainudin has recently moved to the role in UEM Group as general manager for group learning and talent, based in Malaysia, after serving in the company as head of learning and development for two years. He has more than ten years of experience in human capital management, and prior to working with UEM, served as head of talent management, performance management and organisation development at Sime Darby Industrial.

Ling Khor begins adjunct lecturer position at Nanyang PolytechnicNanyang Polytechnic has recently taken on Ling Khor as adjunct lecturer for strategic HR and compensation. Her prior experience in human resources includes deputy director of performance and rewards at Eastern Health Alliance and regional quality control (compensation and benefits) manager at Mercer Human Resources Consulting.

Petrofac appoints Arashy Rashid as human resources executiveArashy Rashid has moved to a new role at Petrofac as human resources executive, focusing on payroll and recrutiment, based in Kuala Lumpur. He previously served as human resources executive with Jayagrocer and as human resource officer with Megah Transport.

Jung Fu (Milton) Foo moves up the ranks in Hong Leong Management Co.Joining Hong Leong Management in Malaysia last year as compensation and benefits manager, Jung Fu (Milton) Foo has recently advanced to the role of senior manager for compensation and benefits. Prior to working with Hong Leong Management, he served as head of HR country services for Tetra Pak Malaysia and Philippines and HR representative for RPG group at Schlumberger.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

GSI Executive Search welcomes Chris Playford Chris Playford has recently begun working with GSI Executive Search as senior consultant, based in Singapore. He brings along 17 years of experience specialising in sales and marketing, leadership, relationship management, account management, business development and sales management. Prior to this, he worked as consultant for SG Deployments and Technopals.

Lee Nallalingham is head of talent solutions at Stirling AndersenHaving just come on board specialist recruitment company The Andersen Partnership, Lee Nallalingham has been tasked with growing the business within the region and will lead insurance specialist brand Stirling Andersen across Southeast Asia, while based in Singapore. He leaves behind the post of regional talent acquisition leader for APAC/EMEA at Willis Towers Watson.

Vishakha Damania moves to HR director position at SalesforceAfter six years working with Visa as the director of total rewards, Vishakha Damania has been welcomed into cloud computing company Salesforce as director of compensation and benefits for APAC. Based in Singapore, she brings years of experience, having held roles such as manager for international HR at Oracle Financial Services Software and senior HR executive at Geodesic.
