Industry Insiders: Tackling the toughest talent challenges

Imagine the kind of issues CHROs are facing in this new world of work (not to forget, a very tricky year). In this feature, for the first time ever, Aditi Sharma Kalra takes a sector-specific approach to tackling the talent challenges of 2020, and beyond, through interviews with nine leaders across sectors and regional remits.

Ideation. Brainstorming. Cross-pollination. Best practice sharing. There’s no dearth of industry jargon for the idea behind bringing people of varying backgrounds together to collaborate, so that they are exposed to different ideas and new ways of thinking.

This feature, which has inspired a new ongoing column on Human Resources Online, attempts to do just that.

For the first time ever, we take a sector-specific approach to tackling the talent challenges of 2020 and beyond. We’ve spoken to HR and business leaders across several key industries in Asia to quiz them on the challenges typical to their industries, and the best practices they’re putting into place to claim victory in the talent games. The end result? Cross-pollination of best practices across sectors.

So what works for the FMCG or retail sector might be an interesting idea for the manufacturing sector, albeit customised to suit their particular requirements! Click through to read the individual interviews below:
