Median salary of Singaporean and PR PMETs is S$5,910 in 2016

Yesterday, Minister for Manpower Lim Swee Say revealed that the median salary of full-time Singaporean and permanent residents (PR) professionals, managers, executives and technicians (PMETs) was S$5,910 (including employer CPF contribution) in 2016 - an increase from S$5,510 in 2013.

This was revealed in response to a question posed by MP Patrick Tay Teck Guan on the breakdown of the basic monthly salary (including and excluding employer CPF contributions); and gross monthly salary (including and excluding employer CPF contributions) for Singaporean and PR PMETs in terms of the 25th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 75th and 80th percentile.

While minister Lim stated that data on basic monthly income is not available, he revealed the breakdown of gross monthly income (including employer CPF contributions) by percentiles as at June 2013 and June 2016, for full time employed residents who are PMETs in the table below.
