Mitsui Chemicals Group extends alternating telecommuting arrangement

Mitsui Chemicals Group has extended its alternating telecommuting arrangement for employees based in its Singapore Regional Headquarters (RHQ) till the end of Fiscal year 2020.

According to a press statement, during the extended alternating week arrangement, employees who are on “physical onsite week” will also have the flexibility to apply to work-from-home (WFH) when they have a specific need.

For employees working physically on-site in the RHQ premise, strict Safe Management Measures will continue to be in place.

The firm has assured that all its operations and functions will remain operational in Singapore, and it will continue to ensure employees stay safe, so as to serve all its business partners through these challenging times.

Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak in Singapore, Mitsui Chemicals Group had implemented strict internal measures to ensure that all affiliates in Singapore stay operational to support business partners.

As such, since 1 October 2020, the RHQ in Singapore had arranged for employees sited in its premise, to telecommute on alternating weeks in a coordinated team arrangement.

This alternating telecommuting arrangement will now be extended, and run its course until the end of Fiscal Year 2020. It will subsequently be reviewed depending on the pandemic situation and local Government prevailing measures.
