When Roche Diagnostics moved to its new office last year, it had specific objectives in mind – to create a positive, interactive and open working environment for its 230 staff based in Singapore.

Additionally, to manage the growth of both customers and employees throughout the region, Goh Chor Lim, head of human resources, Asia Pacific at Roche Diagnostics said: "we have also established a new Asia Pacific state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence which will serve as a training and technical support centre for the region to ensure high quality."

When it comes to redecorating an office, Goh highlighted that it depends on the needs of the respective working environment which should be analysed and identified in first place.

"What works for us might not work for other companies," she said.

"Workspaces should provide employees with the optimal environment to help support them to complete tasks in the most effective and productive way."
