Richard Saul to lead The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing and JW Marriott Hotel Beijing

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Marriott International have jointly announced the appointment of Richard Saul as managing director of The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing and JW Marriott Hotel Beijing.

In this role, Saul will oversee the overall operations of both hotels, and lead the executive teams to reinforce their positioning as the leading luxury hotels in China.

Saul's career spans over 30 years in the hospitality industry and his most recent position was general manager of the JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Changfeng Park.

During his two-year tenure in Shanghai, Saul has been credited with growing business for the hotel, and leading the property’s upgrade to a JW Marriott brand in February 2015.

Saul has been with Marriott International since 1996, when he joined as executive assistant manager of Renaissance Inya Lake Hotel in Myanmar, and was promoted to GM of Renaissance Palm Garden Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1998.

In his nearly twenty-year career in Marriott International, Saul has won several awards for performance excellence from Marriott International including Hotel of the Year, General Manager of the Year, Rookie General Manager and Leadership Excellence.
