Singapore-Hong Kong travel bubble to be deferred beyond December 2020, till further notice

Both countries are keeping a close eye on the evolving COVID-19 situation, and will review the exact date of the ATB's commencement in late December.

The launch of the Singapore-Hong Kong Air Travel Bubble (ATB), which was deferred in late November, will now be deferred beyond December 2020 till further notice.

In a press statement on 1 December (Tuesday), the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) said this decision was made after both countries had further reviewed the COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong, and given that local unlinked cases are still high in over there.

Following this decision, the exact date of the ATB's commencement will be reviewed once again in late December, the CAAS added. "The Singapore and Hong Kong authorities have been in close discussion and will update when there are further developments."
