The Travel Corp matches SkillsFuture grant for staff upto S$500

Travel group with brands such as Contiki Holidays, Uniworld Cruises, and more, The Travel Corporation (TTC), has announced that Singapore-based employees will be entitled to a S$500 SkillsFuture matching grant.

By offering the matching fund, TTC staff will have more options to sign up for courses that cost above S$500. TTC will reimburse S$500 to any Singapore-based employee (workforce size ranging between 30 to 50) who completes SkillsFuture approved courses, and provides a receipt of their payment.

Interestingly, employees who have utilised their SkillsFuture credit, and even non-Singaporean employees can also sign up for SkillsFuture approved courses and apply for reimbursement of up to S$500 upon completing their course.

Employees will not be given cash but have to first utilise their $500 credits in their SkillsFuture account, and subsequently, can claim for reimbursement for further costs.

"We place great importance on human capital development and fully embrace Singapore’s lifelong learning movement," said Robin Yap, president, The Travel Corporation, Asia.

"We introduced this matching grant initiative to encourage our employees to utilise their SkillsFuture credits to sign up for courses that will help them develop skills and knowledge which will be useful throughout their careers and through life."

Last year, TTC launched e-learning training initiative for travel agents, the TTC Agent Academy. The online platform showcases TTC’s four core brands of Contiki, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar and Uniworld.
