Towers Watson appoints new APAC health and group benefits business lead

Towers Watson recently announced it has appointed André Czanik to lead its Health and Group Benefits business in Asia Pacific.

Czanik brings with him two decades’ worth of experience in the health consulting and insurance sectors, and in developing markets in China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore among various others.

“André comes to us with a strong track record of success through exceptional client service and innovative thinking,” Andrew Heard, managing director, Asia Pacific Benefits, Towers Watson, said.

“His background is uniquely diverse, a tremendous asset in the multicultural markets of Asia Pacific — his global experience spans South Africa and Europe and he has a deep knowledge of Asia in particular.”

For this role, Czanik will be based at the company’s Singapore office.

"As our clients continue to face the mounting human capital-related challenges and costs of global expansion, there’s a growing need for governance that’s not only consistent across borders but also informed by a depth of local knowledge," Heard said.

"Andre’s rich professional experience brings both regional and local perspectives to the table."
