Up the ranks: Cindy Dermawan commissioned to lead capabilities and reskilling at UOB

Cindy Dermawan has taken on the role of Group HR Talent & Development, Lead - Capabilities and Reskilling at UOB effective November 2018. She continues to be based in Singapore, and reports to the Group Head, Talent & Development.

As this is a Group role, her remit covers all UOB markets, including Australia, Brunei, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom, and more.

Her priorities in this role for 2019 will be around "capabilities building and reskilling for future readiness," as shared with Human Resources.

She comes to the role with 19 years of experience specialising in talent management, learning and leadership development.

Most recently, she was Head - Talent & Learning, Diversity & Inclusion, Citi Singapore, where she was responsible for talent management and succession planning at the country leadership level, professional and leadership development programmes across levels, and country agenda for diversity and inclusion.

Dermawan started her career in the United States as Performance Development Consultant at Walgreens and eventually Instructional Designer for R.R. Donelley and Sons in Chicago, USA.

She holds a Master of Arts in Organisational Communications and Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
