Effective from August 2019, Rajesh Hurkat has been promoted by Mattel Inc to senior director for human resources. Based in the US toymaker’s Hong Kong office, he will be taking on HR responsibilities for its manufacturing sites globally.

He is a seasoned HR pro who has worked with Fortune 500 companies across a wide range of sectors including pharmaceuticals (Pfizer), telcos (Vodafone), and industrial manufacturing firms where he acted as a HR business partnering involved in core business roles – including logistics, organisational design, talent infusion, and creating engagement platforms to accelerate growth and build collaboration.

Prior to this, he spent five years at Mondelēz International – one of the world’s biggest chocolate factories – where he rose to head of HR and was entrusted with leading its transformation to a high performance organisation.

Rajesh is also highly credentialled, being one of the 101 Top HR Minds in 2019 and being honoured with a 100 HR Achievers Award in 2018. He also holds a Brain-Based Coaching certificate from the NeuroLeadership Institute.
