Up the ranks: SaksOFF5TH.com and O5 appoint Maggie Gregg and Abby Duran as CHROs respectively

As separate business entities, both SaksOFF5TH.com and O5 have distinct associate needs that require dedicated HR support, thus the new HR leaders have been brought on board. 

Online luxury off-price destination SaksOFF5TH.com has named Maggie Gregg as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective 25 October 2021. In this role, she will serve as a member of the SaksOFF5TH.com Executive Committee and report to Paige Thomas, President and CEO.

Maggie comes to SaksOFF5TH.com from The Estée Lauder Companies where she spent the past eight years in HR leadership roles, most recently as VP, Global HR Business Partner supporting finance & strategy, new business development (M&A), transformation, shared services, and inclusion, diversity & equity (DEI).

She also spent seven years at Apple Inc., where she led HR in support of the introduction of retail in the US and expansion into greater China, developing and implementing the organisational structure and people strategy for the region. Previously, she held a number of both HR and business leadership positions at Ann Taylor.

The organisation announced another key senior leadership appointment - whereby, O5, which operates the Saks OFF 5TH store fleet of more than 100 locations across the US and Canada, has brought on board Abby Duran as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective 18 October 2021.

In this role, she reports to Rob Brooks, President of O5, and serves as a member of the O5 Executive Committee.

Abby comes to the role with extensive experience guiding HR strategy, building teams, and cultivating company culture. She spent the majority of her more than 20-year career at L’Oreal where she held various HR leadership roles, most recently as VP, Human Resources, Luxe Division-International Designer Collections.

Prior to this, she led HR for the SalonCentrics division, the company’s distribution arm for professional products such as Redken, Matrix and more. Her prior HR experience also includes the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and Warner Media, and she is an accredited executive coach through the International Coaching Federation.
