Regardless of what is being said online, revealing names is something all posters should avoid. Recently, a post on Hong Kong Discussion Group complaining about a bad interview experience went viral, because the poster revealed the name of the organisation and the human resources staffer who interviewed her.
Behaving in such an unprofessional manner did not win her any sympathy from netizens instead, she was heavily condemned for writing the post.
Here is the assessment from netizens of the poster:
1. The candidate did not ask the right questionsThe poster asked the interviewer how many candidates are interviewing for the opening. She felt offended when the interviewer replied that is none of her business.
Netizens think the interviewer was right on point. It is not an appropriate thing for candidates to raise in a job interview.
2. The candidate mocked the interviewer's oral English The poster seems to not understand that the goal at a job interview is to win over the interviewer. It is unprofessional for a candidate to make fun of the way the interviewer speaks, the focus should be on providing the best answer to questions raised by the interviewer.
3. The candidate is being childishThe poster said she got so upset with the interviewer, she can't help it but told her "I have to take the day off to attend this meeting, why can't you be nice to me?"
Such childish and unprofessional behaviour is a red flag for all employers.
