Intense rainfall may overwhelm drains and canals temporarily, causing flash floods, PUB said.
Singapore's National Water Agency, PUB, has announced in a Facebook post that rainy weather can be expected in the next few days.
According to an advisory by Meteorological Service Singapore has predicted a monsoon surge between 19 to 21 March, which will bring moderate to heavy showers over the island, and with temperatures expected to drop to a possible 22°C. Subsequently, daily temperatures may range between 24°C and 34°C on most days.
Intense rainfall is expected to flood the roads and overwhelm our drains and canals temporarily.
PUB advises the public to stay informed about flood risks by signing up for free flood alerts and downloading the myENV app or subscribing to PUB Flood Alerts via Telegram.
PUB has also shared some ways to stay both safe and dry during these unpredicted weather changes:
🌊 Adjust your travel plans if needed.
🌊 Check your destination for flood risk and plan your route accordingly.
🌊 Don't drive or walk through water above kerb or ankle height.
