HP & Shopee rewards experts speak on C&B success

The line-up of speakers shaping the agenda of Employee Benefits Asia 2017 will reveal their proven methods for attracting and retaining talent through compensation and recognition programmes. Employee Benefits Asia, the biggest regional conference dedicated to compensation & benefits strategy, welcomes top HR executives and C&B experts from HP, Shopee and Schneider Electric.

Among the highlights in Derrick Lim’s professional history were his years with RS Components, Toshiba, StarHub and NOL, as well as other conglomerates he has designed and delivered bespoke programmes for as a partner in a consulting firm. Known as an experienced facilitator, change agent and L&D consultant for global companies, Lim is the training & employee engagement lead at Hewlett-Packard. His role involves designing and developing curriculum in partnership with SMEs internally and externally to address the larger competency gaps across Asia Pacific and Japan.

In driving the employee attraction, motivation and retention of Shopee, Lim Teck Yong has put in place initiatives to strengthen talent acquisition, employer branding, L&D, and employee engagement. On top of being the company’s head of the people team, Lim is also the regional head of operations. Before Shopee, he spent more than four years with the Boston Consulting Group.

Fiona Woo is the vice president global human resources at Schneider Electric. She has a wealth of experience in delivering sustainable HR solutions in matrixed organisations under fast moving business environments across both mature and developing economies. In her 11 years with Schneider Electric, Woo also oversaw the HR function for Hong Kong; managing reward solutions across Asia Pacific; developing Centre of Excellence for Global Reward Solutions as well as driving transformational project in global human resources function to support the group’s talent agenda.

Past Employee Benefits Asia attendees are top HR executives from leading and international companies in the region, such as CapitaLand, DHL, General Electric, Heineken, Maersk, The Waltz Disney Company, Rolls-Royce and many more. All presenters & panellists, such as Joanne Chan, head of total rewards at Boston Scientific, are director or vice president level HR professionals with regional responsibility.
