Day 2, 22nd April

As the conference ends, regional editor Aditi Sharma Kalra expresses her gratitude to all who spoke, attended and supported the event in one way or the other.

"As we close curtains on the first-ever edition of Talent Management Asia in Malaysia, we would like to thank all of our delegates, speakers and sponsors for a great conference."

In the last case study for the day, Fiona Geddes, HR director, Malaysia at British American Tobacco summarizes the challenges involved in crafting a holistic talent management strategy and how to overcome them.

"I believe all humans need a purpose. Human beings are not just a collection of cells, like an amoeba. So what does this have to do with HR? That’s what this keynote is about," he begins.



Known as “the Michael Jordan of hiring”, recruitment expert Dr. John Sullivan shares his views on how HR leaders can boost their talent management practices.

"If you try to retain people most of the year, you’re only wasting your time. They only quit around the time of their work anniversary," he observes.
