The Awards, to be given out in 24 categories, recognises teams and individuals who are resilient in pushing the boundaries of people strategy to achieve new heights. Gold, silver, and bronze awards, along with individual winner trophies, will be awarded in a ceremony on 23 September 2022 (Friday).

The Awards were judged by a panel of top HR leaders. This year, the panel included senior HR professionals from BASF Philippines, FWD Life Insurance Philippines, Loob Holding/Tealive, Philippines AirAsia, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum, Resorts World Manila, SM Supermalls, The Coca-Cola Philippines, and more.

One of the judges, Ma Theresa S. Llamas, Chief Human Resources Officer, Resorts World Manila commented: "I was happy to see how HR practitioners/teams have stepped up during these challenging times and demonstrated their resilience. This pandemic has tested and stretched HR beyond our normal strategies and familiar processes. Most of the companies that I assessed have immediately adapted to the new normal and implemented their programmes successfully."

Another member of the judging panel, Kirk Patrick E. Alimaza, Country Head, People and Culture, Philippines AirAsia said: "The pandemic really taught us a lot of things: one of which is how to keep the company afloat while protecting the wellbeing of our human resources. I am so glad to see that the enlisted companies, in one way or another, were able to do something beneficial to their employees that made it difficult for me to rate their programmes."

Meanwhile, Edalyn "Lyn" D. Hadjula-Legarde, People & Culture Director, Alaska Milk Corporation, a company by Friesland Campina added that it was "so amazing to see how technology is intertwined with the way we work and the way we live and how this impacts our employees’ lives, our customers’ lives and others as well. What also touches me, is that at the centre of all the interventions or projects, it’s the PEOPLE at the heart --- both for the intention and action. That is what makes these HR initiatives special."
