Besi, Colliers and Sony share secrets to C&B success

Esteemed HR leaders from major employers such as Besi, Colliers and Sony are the newest additions to the stellar speaker line-up for Employee Benefits Asia, the region’s biggest conference dedicated to compensation and benefits. Organised by Human Resources, Employee Benefits Asia 2016 is a two-day conference for top HR leaders responsible for compensation and benefits strategy happening in Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Manila in August.

Henk Jan Jonge Poerink, a veteran HR practitioner who carries over 22 years of experience working with various multinational organisations, such as Philips Group and VDL Enabling Technologies Group. Today, he serves as the senior vice president and managing director at Besi.

As the head of global operations and member of executive management, Poerink oversees general management, sales and marketing, contract manufacturing, supply chain management, operational management, people excellence and continuous improvement.

Ricky Long who focuses on talent acquisition, talent management, and organisation development as the director of people and performance at Colliers International. With over 20 years of human resources management experience in companies engaged in both the service and technology sectors, Long has performed critical roles in major companies, such as Sybase and SAS as head of human resources for Asia Pacific, and Atmel as senior director of human resources. Long graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts from the University of Guelph.

Verena Chua whose most recent accomplishments as the Sony Electronics’ head of compensation and benefits includes the restructuring of  the company's medical benefits and flexi-benefits scheme. She aims to harmonise rewards policies in the region with global initiatives such as the implementation of the workday system and the global grades structure. Chua has more than 20 years of human resources experience in consultancy, private and government sectors, with exposure to HRIS, benefits design and sales compensation.
