Upon completion of the steps to apply for a supporting letter, the application will be routed to the XPATNOVA system, allowing employers to proceed with EP approval from IRDA through the platform.
The Expatriate Services Division Malaysia has announced that effective 25 July 2024, all companies operating in Iskandar Malaysia that need SupportLetters from Approving Agencies or Regulatory Bodies for new or renewed Employment Passes (EP) must submit their applications through the Xpats Gateway platform.
To verify if your company is within Iskandar Malaysia, use the postcode lookup feature on the site.
To apply for a Support Letter, follow these steps:
1. Visit Xpats Gateway > Company Login > Select Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) logo
2. Log in with your XPATNOVA user ID and password
3. Choose the required Supporting Agency and create an EP application draft
4. Submit and await Supporting Letter approval
Once approved, the application will be routed to the XPATNOVA system, allowing you to proceed with EP approval from IRDA through the XPATNOVA platform.
