Employers in Kedah can now send their employees for COVID-19 screening through the PSP

All Social Security Organization (SOCSO) contributors in Kedah will now be able to make use of the Prihatin Screening Programme (PSP), announced Minister of Human Resources, Datuk Seri M. Saravanan.

According to a statement by SOCSO posted on Facebook, this is to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Kedah, where the Administrative Tightened Movement Control Order has been enforced in the Kota Setar district until 25 September 2020.

All SOCSO contributors in Kedah who have never used this SOCSO PSP facility are eligible to undergo COVlD-19 screening. Employers can also send their employees to undergo screening tests.

Employers who want to send their employees for the tests can make appointments with any SOCSO appointed laboratory.

Alternatively, those who wish to conduct screening tests through any other laboratory will receive a subsidy of up to RM150 for each employee who undergoes COVID-19 screening. Employers who are conducting the tests through other laboratories must pay for the costs in advance. Thereafter, an application for the COVID-19 Screening Subsidy can be submitted through this website.

The PSP was first introduced in April this year as a screening program aimed at high-risk workers to help prevent the spread of COVlD-19 in the country.

More information can be found on the SOCSO website.
