Happy Lunar New Year: Let's approach the year with strength, might, and determination

Beloved Readers,

Xin nian kuai le, wan shi ru yi (Happy Lunar New Year, blessing you in everything you do)!

After a trying (and humbling) Year of the Ox, here we are in the Year of the Tiger. We know the going hasn't been easy for most of us, but like always, the HRO team tries to spot the silver lining (and rainbow) even on cloudy days. And there's lots that we are grateful for.

So let's take this year as an opportunity to think like a tiger, by charging ahead with strength, might, proactiveness, and determination.

If you're getting a CNY break, make the most of your time with friends and family, albeit under the reunion rules applicable to your city or state. Let's take heart in knowing our loved ones are safe and healthy, even if they're across borders.

If travel isn't on the cards, take the time to be a tourist in your current city. Explore all the sights and eateries that you've only seen reviews of, or wind down with some quiet time listening to music or reading a book in green, open spaces.

In this Year of the Tiger, Human Resources Online would like to wish you to be as powerful as a tiger. We hope you find peace, health, prosperity, but also love, patience, and optimism. Wherever you are, wherever you may be, go get 'em, Tiger - this is still our year!

Enjoy the Lunar New Year celebrations, and stay safe.

And as we'd like to leave with you a chuckle, here's a great video to bring a smile to your face this festive season!

Best wishes,
The Human Resources Online Team
