HR Practitioner Appointments

DFS Group promotes director Irene Yip was promoted from senior manager global talent acquisition to director, global talent acquisition at DFS Group in August.  She had been with the company since 2016. Prior to DFS, she was a business services manager at Chandler Macleod.  She brings with her more than 10 years of experience in human resources.

Janet Lai to lead the HR department at InterContinental Grand Standford Hong Kong Lai was appointed director of human resources at InterContinental Grand Standford Hong Kong in July.  Her last appointment was group human resources manager at Fortune Pharmacal Company.  She brings with her more than 25 years of experience in human resources including several years leading HR departments in the hospitality sector.

Job changes at L'Oréal's HR team Cyndi Wei joined L'Oréal as senior HR business partner in July, after nearly 6 years with Richemont as HR manager.  She started her career in human resources in Shanghai in 2004. In 2016, she relocated from Shanghai to Hong Kong with Richemont.

Sara Cheng was promoted to talent acquisition specialist at L'Oréal in July.  She joined the company in 2016 as a HR intern.

Sally Chen relocates to Australia  Sally was appointed senior recruiter at Citi - markets and securities services, consumer banking in July.  She relocated from Hong Kong to Sydney for the role.  Previously she was a senior recruiter at Goldman Sachs.

New role for The Hong Kong Jockey Club's Eric Lee Lee was  was appointed organisational development manager at the club.  He joined the club in 2016 as people support development manager.  He started his career in human resources in 2004.  Before joining the club he was a HR manager at Marriott International Asia Pacific.

New hire at Towngas Femi Oei joined Towngas a senior human resources manager in August.  Her previous appointment was HR manager at JOS.  She is experienced with human resources operations in the information technology & services industry with strong focus on employer branding and employee relations.

Appointment at Rosewood Hotel Group Jeffrey Wu was appointed senior human resources development manager at Rosewood Hotel Group in July.  He came over from Hasbro where he was regional talent acquisition manager, APAC.  He started his career in human resources in 2011, he is experienced with hiring in the consumer goods industry.

HAECO promotes training specialist Milky Tsang was promoted to learning and development specialist in July.  She joined HAECO in 2017 as learning & development executive.  She is experienced with the training function of the aviation industry, before joining HAECO, she was a training and development officer at the Hong Kong Airport Authority.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Janet Man joins Jardine Matheson Man was appointed general manager, talent management (group HR) at Jardine Matheson in August.  Her previous position was vice president, talent management at Schneider Electric.

She brings with her 20 years of experience in the HR industry, as well as an MBA and a degree in learning and organisational change. Prior to Schneider Electric, she was senior director of talent management at McDonald’s.

Yen Wing Chi takes on new role with Bank of China Yen took on a new role as the head of HR and administration at BOCI-Prudential Asset Management in August.  His previous role at Bank of China was head of talent acquisition.  Yen brings with him more than 25 years of experience in human resources.

New hire at Chandler Macleod Freddy Mo was appointed senior consultant at Chandler Macleod in July.  In the new role, he will be specialising in human resources recruitment across all industries.  Previously, Mo was associate director, human resources & business support at Hillman Ross.

Hays promotes senior consultant Michelle Lau was promoted to senior consultant in August.  She joined the company as associate consultant in 2016.  She covers cover all level appointments along with strategic business development and relationship driven roles.
