The collaboration will also see a focus on developing strategies for continuous professional development within the group.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Johor Corporation (JCorp) have signed a letter of collaboration (LoC) that will formalise a partnership on advancing talent recruitment and capacity building.

The LoC, signed by Andrew Lim, Portfolio Head of ACCA Maritime Southeast Asia, and Rozaini Mohd Sani, Chief Financial Officer of Johor Corporation, involves an agreement for both parties to work together on a broader talent agenda. The focus would be on advancing quality recruitment and upskilling initiatives to produce more professionally qualified accountants within JCorp and its group of companies.

Additionally, the partnership will focus on developing strategies for continuous professional development, preparing future leaders for careers in accountancy and finance.

Rozaini Mohd Sani, Chief Financial Officer, Johor Corporation, commented that the partnership was an important step in enhancing the organisation's ability to "attract and develop top-tier finance professionals who are ready to meet the evolving demands of the industry."

"This aligns with our broader commitment to excellence in financial management and sustainable business practices", she added.

Helen Brand, Chief Executive of ACCA, also noted that the collaboration reflects a "shared commitment to building a robust pipeline of talent that will drive positive change in the country."
