Modis, backed by Adecco Group, launches in Singapore

Backed by the Adecco Group, the world's leading HR solutions partner, Modis is expanding its international Information Technology business into Singapore to support its ambition to become the number one global technology professional staffing and solutions company.

Combining global strength and scale with local expertise, Modis is built to deliver agile and intelligent end-to-end solutions for its customers, including professional staffing and consulting, project services, managed services, customised solutions, and full IT outsourcing projects.

The technology sector in Singapore is currently undergoing a tremendous transformation, with companies needing to become fully 'digital' and to make the best use of data in order to be successful. To achieve this, they must either add, or have ready access to, talent in areas such as software development, systems engineering, cloud computing, big data analytics and cybersecurity. However, the pool of available skilled IT talent has already fallen below employer demand with the shortage expected to worsen, with companies continuing to report difficulty in accessing qualified IT talent with the necessary experience or specialised skills [1].

In Singapore, Modis will create true business value by assembling high-quality specialist teams initially in the areas of information technology - working for, or in, partnership with its clients. In addition, Modis will offer candidates an unrivalled, diverse portfolio of projects and career development opportunities with the flexibility and security they need to thrive.

Modis Singapore will be headed by French national Pierre-Francois Vieau -- who has overall responsibility for the brand in Singapore and who will later explore opportunities in other markets. Pierre-Francois has lived and worked in Australiaand South East Asia since 2009, involved in various roles within large global recruiting firms.

Globally, the expanded Modis will serve about 20 territories across four continents, combining the existing Modisbusinesses in IT, engineering and life sciences solutions in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia - with the 11 other IT, engineering and life sciences brands from within the Adecco Group.

Additionally, Modis globally this year has unveiled an entirely new visual identity that reflects its evolution as a global leader in the science and technology professional staffing and solutions sector. Modis, global leader in professional solutions for IT The new Modis will empower its associates, consultants, clients and candidates to connect smarter in a rapidly changing world of work, combining the strengths of the existing Modis business with the Adecco Group's proven track record in 60 international markets, including Singapore. The Adecco Group is strengthening its position in attractive growth sectors to improve performance, services and value for its customers, and to attract new candidates and clients.

"Modis is unique in its ability to enhance any project within the tech world, by connecting companies with the right talent solutions for their needs," said Pierre-Francois Vieau. "We will offer our clients top expertise, flexibility and agility to embrace innovation throughout their project or product life cycle, to drive change, or to accompany them in their digital transformation."

Modis will cover the Adecco Group's full range of professional staffing, project management & outsourcing, up-skilling and re-skilling, and consultancy in the IT sector.

Ian Lee, Regional Head, APAC, The Adecco Group, added "Launching Modis in Singapore is highly complementary to the existing Adecco Group brands in place -- that includes the Adecco General Staffing Brand and Spring Professional. The group is well placed to support the increasingly sophisticated needs of organisations across Singapore".

With more than 20 years of experience in the field, Modis has already built a reputation as a leading expert in IT and engineering solutions across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
