Note these revised conditions for work pass and LTP applications, as well as the renewals of existing work passes for work permit and S Pass holders in CMP sectors, and more.

In a series of announcements regarding Singapore's COVID-19 protocols, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced the vaccination requirements for work pass holders.

Amidst the relaxation of rules such as the masking mandate and border measures, COVID-19 vaccinations will continue to be a condition for the approval of all new applications for long-term passes and work passes.

For renewal applications, vaccination will also continue to be required for the renewal of existing work passes for the following groups of work permit, training work permit, and S Pass holders:

  1. from the construction, marine shipyard, and process sectors, or
  2. residing in dormitories, given that their worksites and dormitories are "settings at higher risk of disease spread".

Meanwhile, all other pass holders will need to be fully vaccinated to apply for new passes.

These revised vaccination requirements will take effect from 1 October 2022.

In further updates, effective 29 August 2022, pass holders no longer need to produce documents to prove their vaccination status before boarding their flight to Singapore, and upon arrival in the country.

Last, MOM has also shared that from that date (29 August), employers will not need to submit exemption requests for pass holders who are not fully vaccinated.
