Taiwan recruitment startup CakeResume launches in Hong Kong

The digital recruitment platform of Taiwanese origin, CakeResume, made its official debut in Hong Kong yesterday (23 October).

Aiming to enhance efficiency of job hunting and screening processes, the platform offers three key services — personalised online resumes, a talent search engine and messaging — to job seekers and recruiters.

Job hunters can create their customised online resume out of 50 pre-designed templates, while recruiters and employers can discover and reach out to potential talents through public online resumes on Talent Search Engine, which analyses keywords on resume and job advertisements, employers’ interests, interaction with candidates and talents’ popularity by using natural language processing technology.

“Since 2016, CakeResume is dedicated in upgrading the whole recruitment process, aiming to become Asia's largest and most comprehensive tech talent information platform. Therefore, we decided to expand to Hong Kong and Singapore this year to provide premium talent solutions to both candidates and employers,” said Trantor Liu, founder of CakeResume.

The tech talent information platform is receiving angel funding. Currently, it has around 350,000 users and 300,000 resumes worldwide.
