Interns will get the chance to attend curated training and gain hands-on experience in fields such as accounting and reporting assurance, strategy and business design, business tax, cyber, and more.
Deloitte has just launched a graduate internship programme – Amplify Programme (Amplify). This initiative is designed to equip fresh workforce entrants with the necessary skills and experience needed for a career in professional services.
Eugene Ho, Chief Executive Officer, Deloitte Southeast Asia, shared that the goal of Amplify is to empower individuals to define a purposeful career for themselves that impacts the current dynamic work environment.
This programme is also aligned with Deloitte’s global goal to empower 100mn people by 2030 through education and skills investment.
Starting this year, there will be two intakes of up to 1,000 interns in total across Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Of which, at least 100 will be based in Singapore. These interns will be able to attend curated training and hands-on experience in fields such as accounting and reporting assurance, strategy and business design, business tax, cyber, and more.
Applicants are required to commit to an internship period of 12 consecutive weeks that includes soft skills and leadership training, technical knowledge-building, hands-on experience, as well as networking opportunities. Upon completion of the programme, up to 200 individuals around the region who displayed exceptional performance during the training will be offered full-time employment at Deloitte.
Who can take part in Amplify?
- All students graduating from university from any discipline.
- Graduates with a work experience of less than three years, wishing to explore their interest in a professional services career.
It was also noted that Amplify complements Deloitte’s existing recruitment and talent strategy. Hence, the organisation continues to recruit undergraduate interns under their Inspires programme and FasTrack accelerated audit career programme in Singapore.
Shariq Barmaky, Country Managing Partner, Deloitte Singapore, said that through Amplify, the organisation wishes to continue collaborating with tertiary institutions and the wider public sector in an effort to help Singapore’s young talent to secure meaningful and purposeful employment.
"Investing in talent development not only strengthens our capabilities, but it also helps ensure the long-term vibrancy of the professional services sector," he added.
