Expected 2023 salaries for HR roles in Malaysia

A CHRO in banking & financial services could be earning a monthly pay of RM740,000, while a GM of HR in business services could be taking home RM240,000 a month.

In 2023, industries in Malaysia can expect to see a high employee turnover rate despite unprecedented uncertainty brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to PageInsights' Salary Guide 2023. 

At the same time, salary remains the top motivator that influences candidates’ decisions on where to work. 

In that vein, the salary guide details the average gross monthly salary that roles across industries in Malaysia can expect to earn in 2023, and this article will focus on HR roles. All figures reflected are in Malaysia Ringgit (MYR/RM).
