FedEx volunteers have rallied together to donate essential supplies and contribute over 1,000 volunteer hours, benefitting more than 1,650 individuals in need.
As part of the annual FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign, more than 800 team members dedicated more than 1,000 volunteer hours to collect and donate over 3,600kg of essential supplies. Their efforts benefitted over 1,650 individuals, including children, the elderly, and underserved groups, across 11 markets.
From October to December 2024, employees in Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, New Zealand, and Vietnam worked with over 20 non-profit organisations to deliver items such as packaged food, books, toys, winter clothing, and hygiene kits. These donations, packed in FedEx’s signature purple tote bags, symbolised care and compassion for those in need.
The campaign showcased the power of teamwork and community spirit. Volunteers collaborated with charities to support causes such as helping children with leukaemia and providing aid to struggling families. Their efforts aimed to bring meaningful, lasting support to vulnerable groups across the region.
“The ‘FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign’ is a powerful reminder of how much we can achieve when we come together to help others,” said Kawal Preet, president, of FedEx Asia Pacific.
“It makes me incredibly proud to see our team members step up and support those in need – this reflects the values of ‘teamwork’ and ‘taking care of each other’ that shape who we are.”
This initiative is part of the FedEx Cares, a global programme encouraging employees to give back through volunteering and charitable contributions. In FY24, FedEx donated USD$55mn globally to support its focus of ‘Delivering for good, sustainable logistics, and global entrepreneurship’.
