List of passport offices & UTCs in Malaysia that will operate 7 days a week starting 28 Jan

The extended operating hours are part of efforts to ease congestion at immigration counters, Minister of Home Affairs Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution has shared.

Starting tomorrow (Saturday, 28 January 2023), a total of 20 passport offices along with urban transformation centres in Malaysia will be open on all seven days each week for passport renewals and applications.

This comes as part of efforts to ease congestion at immigration counters, Minister of Home Affairs Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution has shared

The updated hours, shared by Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia, are as follows:

Passport offices (20 in total)

Operating hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8am to 7pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: 8am to 12.30pm

These hours apply to:

  1. Menara Ikhlas, Putrajaya
  2. Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur
  3. Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur
  4. Shah Alam, Selangor
  5. Kelana Jaya, Selangor
  6. Kajang, Selangor
  7. Puchong, Selangor
  8. Kuala Selangor, Selangor
  9. Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor
  10. Ayer Keroh, Melaka
  11. Seberang Jaya, Pulau Pinang
  12. Taiping, Perak
  13. Teluk Intan, Perak
  14. Lumut, Perak

Operating hours:

  • Sunday to Thursday: 8am to 7pm
  • Friday & Saturday: 8am to 12.30pm

These hours apply to:

  1. Setia Tropika, Johor
  2. Kulai, Johor
  3. Muar, Johor
  4. Batu Pahat, Johor
  5. Kluang, Johor
  6. Kulim, Kedah

Urban Transfromation Centres (UTCs)

Operating hours:

  • Daily: 8am to 7pm
  • Weekend: 8am to 5pm

These hours apply to:

  • All states except Perlis, Pahang, Kedah, and Terengganu

Operating hours:

  • Daily, including weekends: 8am to 5pm

These hours apply to:

  1. Perlis
  2. Pahang
  3. Kedah
  4. Terengganu

In further efforts to ease congestion, Minister Saifuddin said the online appointment system will be enhanced to provide the date and time of passport collection appointments, as well as queue numbers. Additionally, the newly-opened passport office located in KLIA will operate as a passport issuing office for urgent and emergency cases, apart from normal applications.

Last, passport printing machines will also be added in passport offices that are typically crowded and have a high rate of visitors.
