SNEF invites you to adopt the three-tier approach—one that will guide employers in creating meaningful change that extends beyond office walls.
This article is brought to you by SNEF.
Observed annually on 01 December, the World AIDS Day provides a great opportunity for employers to prioritise the health and well-being of your workforce. We encourage you to step forward and promote the importance of knowing one’s HIV status early. Our collective goal is to eliminate stigma and promote a supportive environment for all.
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment as you empower your employees to take charge of their health. Providing resources like access to testing sites and HIV education can significantly impact prevention and early treatment efforts.
SNEF invites you to adopt the three-tier approach—a framework designed to support inclusive, well-being-focused workplaces. This structured approach will guide employers in creating meaningful change that extends beyond office walls.
Importance of knowing HIV status early
Encouraging employees to know their HIV status is vital for both prevention and effective management. In Singapore, 14.8% of new HIV cases were detected through self-initiated screenings, with many cases identified at an early stage. This highlights the importance of accessible testing options for everyone.
Singapore offers 10 anonymous HIV testing sites providing confidential and supportive resources for individuals to learn their status without fear of discrimination.
Take a step forward this World AIDS Day - pledge your support and empower your workforce with knowledge.
