The least-fatigued country is the Netherlands, with a fatigue score of just 2.01 out of 10, compared to Singapore's 7.20 as the world's most fatigued nation.

Do you ask your colleagues how their weekend was or if they did anything fun, and the answer frequently is: "Oh, I just slept in and lazed around"?

Perhaps that's one of the unmissable signs of fatigue.

In a new study by Sleepseeker, Singapore, Mexico, and Brazil are the three most fatigued countries in the world. Japan, the USA, and China also feature among the top 10 countries most notorious for a fatigued population. The full list (top 15 most fatigued countries in the world) is featured above.

The least-fatigued country is the Netherlands, with a fatigue score of just 2.01 out of 10, compared to Singapore's 7.20 as the world's most fatigued nation.

For this study, how fatigued people in different countries are likely to be was a score out of 10, based on four factors: amount of time slept in each country (from Statista);  amount of screen time (from BusinessFibre.co.uk); number of hours worked in each country on average per year (from Wikipedia); and searches for sleep-related terms as a proportion of the population (from Google Keyword Planner and the number of Google users in each country).

A total of 16 countries were studied for this analysis.

The study also found the countries that work the most hours per year, topped by Mexico, Singapore and China as the only three countries found to work more than 2,000 hours on average annually.
