Singapore has reclaimed its top spot as the world's strongest passport in 2024.
Prior to this, in 2023, Singapore had dropped from the first spot to the second. In its place, Japan took the first spot, having previously shared it with Singapore.
The Henley Passport Index encompasses 199 different passports and 227 different travel destinations. Rankings are determined by exclusive data from the International Air Transport Authority (IATA).
In its first spot, the Singapore passport enables travel access to 195 countries visa-free. Second place was shared by France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain — all of which had access to 192 territories.
