Together with the 66 strategic enterprises previously attracted, it is expected to create over 20,000 jobs in the years to come.

A total of 18 strategic enterprises from high-tech industries, such as advanced manufacturing and new energy technology, AI and data science, fintech, and life and health technology, have officially set foot in Hong Kong and become strategic enterprise partners of the HKSAR Government.

In the presence of the Financial Secretary Paul Chan, over 200 guests attended the signing ceremony and signed agreements on 8 April 2025, including representatives of the strategic enterprises, local and international chambers of commerce, research institutions, universities, financial and professional services firms, relevant government bureaux/departments, as well as public organisations.

The new batch have all committed to establishing their global or regional headquarters, or research and development (R&D) centres, in Hong Kong. Together with the 66 strategic enterprises previously attracted, they will invest about HK$50 billion in total in the years to come, creating over 20,000 jobs.

In his speech, Chan said that the strategic enterprises bring not only the investments, jobs, and expertise to Hong Kong, but also their products and solutions that will transform people’s ways of life and inspire new innovation, supporting Hong Kong’s vision of becoming an international innovation and technology (I&T) centre.

Going forward, Chan said that the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES) will broaden its scope to also attract cultural and creative enterprises that can fuse I&T with artistry, and support these enterprises to expand their businesses to various new markets through Hong Kong’s platform.
