AirAsia told HRO: "We are aware of this incident and it was dealt with immediately in the appropriate manner."

In a video that has gone viral on social media, cited in HRO's sister publication, MARKETING-INTERACTIVEAirAsia's Thailand CEO Tassapon Bijleveld was seen making rude remarks to an employee while she spoke at a virtual townhall.

In response to this, when HRO reached out to the company for a statement, AirAsia said: "AirAsia Group has a zero tolerance policy towards inappropriate behaviour of any kind which is never compromised.

"We are aware of this incident and it was dealt with immediately in the appropriate manner. We apologise to anyone affected and will ensure it doesn't happen again."
