To cope with the fast-changing business environment, customer expectation and technological growth, we adopted a full integration of Agile Scrum Methodology to transform our front-end and back-end insurance systems and platforms.
This methodology brought us marvellous benefits, as shared by our project team members. Our project teams could develop and deliver high-value features more quickly with shorter cycles. For project managers, planning and tracking of projects are much easier and concrete where issues could be addressed timely. A robust and transparent communication has been developed via cross-teams sharing with sufficient provision of hardware and software. Our teams could ultimately share a clear and aligned direction, paving the way to foster higher engagement level and better team cohesion.
Leveraging technology is vital for us to achieve service differentiation. To further uplift the digital capabilities of MSIG staff, our HR Team developed a series of learning and development initiatives which parked under “MSIG Digital Academy” with the “Triple E Approach”. This is structured around a series of learning and development initiatives consisting of real-life applications of digital skills (Experience), gamified learning environments to widen digital horizons (Exposure) and digital-themed forums and workshops (Education).
On “MSIG Digital Day”, one of the highlights of the Digital Academy, our staff could immerse themselves in the world of cutting-edge technology and liaise with professional industry experts. Our series of digital trainings could also provide an overview on how the recent technological trends are changing the business landscape. This event achieved positive outcomes and digital mindset has successfully instilled to our staff. During the outbreak of COVID-19 in early Feb 2020, our internal pulse survey also reflected that our staff were becoming digitally adaptable with latest technological software, where over 75% of our staff took less than 2 weeks to adapt to the new approach of remote work.
