Over 570,000 Singaporean working seniors to receive Earn & Save Bonus package in March 2025

Eligible Singaporeans will receive the first payment of $400 to $1,000 this month, which will be automatically credited to their CPF accounts.

Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) announced on 20 March 2025 that eligible Singaporeans can look forward to receiving the first payment of the annual Earn and Save Bonus of between $400 to $1,000 in March this year. (all currencies are in SGD)

According to the press release by MOM, the Earn and Save Bonus falls under the $9bn Majulah Package which was introduced in 2024 under the Forward Singapore Exercise.

In a Facebook post, Manpower Minister Dr Tan See Leng shared: "We introduced the $9bn Majulah Package in 2024 to provide Singaporeans born in 1973 or earlier, especially our young seniors, with an additional boost for their retirement."

Eligible working seniors will receive the following bonus, with a higher bonus given to those with lower monthly incomes:

Average monthly incomeAnnual Earn and Save Bonus
$500 - $2,500$1,000
Above $2,500 - $3,500$700
Above $3,500 - $6,000$400

MOM shared the following criteria that citizens need to meet in order to receive the Earn and Save Bonus. Details are as follows:

  • Singaporeans must be born in 1973 or earlier.
  • Citizens must ensure that they have an average monthly income of $500 to $6,000 in the preceding Year of Assessment.
  • They should live in a property with an annual value of $31,000 and below, and own not more than one property.

To check if you are eligible for the Save and Earn Bonus, you can visit the govbenefits website by logging in with your Singpass.

MOM shared that eligible recipients will be notified via SMS in April 2025 after the Earn and Save Bonus has been credited to their CPF accounts, and recipients without a Singpass-registered mobile number will be notified through a letter sent to the address on their IC.

MOM has also reminded Singaporeans to be mindful of SMS scam notifications, encouraging citizens to reply to the message.

"The SMS notification sent from 'gov.sg' will only inform citizens of their benefits. Citizens will not be asked to reply to the SMS, click any links, or provide any information to the sender. No messages regarding the payment will be sent through WhatsApp or other mobile messaging platforms."
