London-based fintech Finastra has named FTSE 100 CPO Helen Cook (pictured above) as the Chief People Officer, who also becomes a member of the Finastra executive leadership team.
Effective 6 October 2022, she takes global responsibility for the people organisation and for advancing the company’s aspiration to be the most inclusive and diverse employer in the fintech industry.
Cook will report to Simon Paris, CEO of Finastra. She is based at Finastra’s HQ in Paddington, London.
On the development, CEO Paris said: Helen is passionate about personal development and building skills and capabilities for our employees that enable growth and boost business performance. Her expertise and experience will help us further accelerate Finastra’s people programmes that afford opportunities to our employees to expand their horizons."
In the APAC region, her remit extends to office locations across Singapore, India, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Australia, and Japan.
Cook added: "Finastra’s vision is built on collaboration, and its commitment to become a truly inclusive workplace, and enhance the skills of its workforce is inspirational. I'm thrilled to support in growing and developing the company’s global talent."
The new CPO joins from Natwest Group where she held the position of CHRO, complementing which she has more than 25 years of experience covering all aspects of people strategy, including tenures at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley.
Cook is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, as well as serves as a mentor for the FTSE 100 Mentoring Foundation.
