Currently Chairman & CEO of Resorts World Sentosa, Tan first took on the role of the Federation’s Vice President in September 2022 and has been serving on the Council for the last 15 years.
Tan Hee Teck has been elected as President of the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) with immediate effect, the Federation said on Friday (26 July 2024).
Currently Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Resorts World at Sentosa, Tan first took on the role of the Federation’s Vice President in September 2022 and has been serving on the Council for the last 15 years.
As President, Tan is responsible for providing leadership and guidance in the Federation’s efforts to advance tripartism and enhance labour market flexibility to nurture sustainable businesses in Singapore. He will also be working closely with Council members and the appointed external consultant currently conducting a review of the Federation’s internal processes, expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
In line with Tan's appointment, the Council has also unanimously elected Kuah Boon Wee, Director, MTQ Limited as Vice President, joining Alexander C. Melchers and John Ng Peng Wah.
SNEF said Council members and office-bearers will serve in their current roles until elections at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM).
